Yikes! It's been so long!

I didn't realize it's been 2 months since any sort of update! I guess we've been too busy adding all sorts of new items. At least 250 that I can think of!

The Showroom is Finished!

When we first planned on opening the front office as a showroom, it seemed simple enough. Every time we turned around, we were adding something to the plans, or completely changing plans. But, we have finally completed it, and we're pretty confident it was worth the effort (at least to us!)
So 4 4x8ft slatwalls, 1200 2 inch hooks, a couple of tables, some awesome artwork, a couple of great vintage finds, and we're ready for some visitors! There aren't too many bead shops near Cape Coral, so although were not really a "bead shop", were hoping we can help fill that void a little.

We had a visitor!

Heard some strange noises in the wall yesterday...


Found out we had a visitor


It was pretty scared, and weak from being in there.



We gave it a little water, a little popcorn, and a little time. After about fifteen minutes we went back in , and she was flying around the room. We got a towel thrown on her, took her outside, and away she went :)

Inspired from the garden

With the gorgeous sunshine and fresh breeze we were inspired to plant a garden in our backyard with the family this weekend! In it we are growing family favorites- strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, red bell pepper, mint and basil. Also, we picked out pretty flowers to surround our patio to bring in even more color. New Office

Awhile back ago we moved our business into a new office/warehouse location in Cape Coral, FL. Our bead collection grew so much, that it had to be done!

We have been getting numerous requests from local customers to come and view our beads in person. Unfortunately because we are in a warehouse/office location we are not currently set up for this. Due to the requests, we decided to set up our front office as a small showroom! So our local customers can view items in person. This has been really exciting and we look forward to opening it! We plan on doing this by appointment only, just like we offer our local pick up on our website - www.mkbeads.com .

Our current project is a DIY craft table, we used this wonderful tutorial and modified it to fit our needs-

Waiting for warmer days!

Even though we are located in the normally warm and sunny Florida, it has been unusually cold this winter! With that in mind, I am looking forward to spring and lots of color (and warmer weather!). These great new 18mm dahlia colors hit the spot! They are slightly translucent and remind me of hard fruity candy. Super cute!
